SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed about the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office focused sassa on service the area on a regular basis. The provider position developed for intervention experiences a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who sassa stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all shoppers and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
